Its been a while!.......

Its been a while since Stotty and Critch
have been able to get out fishing,
due to most lakes been froze over!
luckily enough there was a few days of warmer weather,
which managed to defrost the waters.
so they turned up to a new club water at the crack of dawn,
and was happy to find that there wasn't many other anglers on the lake.
both watching the water with eagle eye's Critch spotted a smallish carp top out,
"there's one" he said, "there's another" said stotty,
the fish were showing in the same vicinity, at about 100+ yards in the middle of the lake.
both Stotty and Critch knew they shouldn't neglect the signs,
so they got in the pegs opposite the showing fish.
stotty decided to set up he's bivvy first,
due to the fact that there was a strong cold wind blowing straight into them.
but critch was very eager and whacked a single pop-up out to the showing fish, within minutes he's rod toar off!!!
resulting in a small carp.
straight out again to the same spot and minutes later, the rod was off again!
within the time that Stotty was setting up he's gear Critch managed to land 3 carp just into double figures...
thoughout there stay critch landed 11 carp upto 16lb+ and losing 4 fish,
also stotty bagged 2 carp and a bream :/

1st picture is of a cracking 16lb 8oz common landed by Critch
2nd picture is a lean common weighing in at 11lb for Stotty
3rd is one of only 3 mirrors caught weighing in at 8lb for Critch
and last but no means least is a 13lb common for Stotty
Roll on the next session!

down at linear fisheries St Johns lake.
when they arrived the whole complex was froze. after picking the only peg on the lake that was fishable they decided to set up camp and was pleased with there pegs.
after a cold night,at 10am the following morning, jamies middle rod screemed off!!
after a short fight a cracking 21lb 8oz mirror was in the bag.
the fish was caught at the range of between 100 - 110yrds on a single fluro pop up.
no more fish was caught within there session but they will be going back after christmas in search of even bigger oxfordshire lumps ;)

Perfection In Miniature

A few stalking trips to a local haunt,
produced two lovely Common Carp (maybe the same fish) of 8lb for Stotty.
one of them falling for a single premier baits boilie,
and the other falling for two grains of imitation corn,
both mounted to blow-back rigs.

certainly a couple of fish for the future ;)

A couple from recent sessions

A couple of recent night sessions,
saw Critch and Stotty getting amongst some fish.
starting with Critch's 21lb cracking mirror,
caught on double premier baits boilies mounted onto a blow-back rig
And stotty's 17lb 12oz clean looking mirror
caught on premier baits boilies tipped with imitation corn mounted also on a blow-back rig.

La Saule Paquot, The result....

After a red hot week at Paquot, Critch managed this 41lb 8oz Mirror the day after arriving.
The fishing was hard all week but came slowly and steady to two pegs on the lake.
4 anglers caught and 4 anglers blanked. Thats Fishing i suppose.
none the less Top service from the TAG carp tour lads.
Cheers Tony,Alan & Terry :)
